This was my first time staying in a capsule style hotel, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to but I found it comfortable and I stayed 3 nights. I would suggest something bigger for longer stays, as it felt a little cramped, and you only have privacy when inside your ‘room’ with the blind down. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were good. There were points to charge a phone right next to the bed, under bed pull out storage for luggage (big suitcases probably won’t fit), a silent alarm which was quite relaxing to wake up to and the staff were always very friendly. I stayed on the female only floor and while there were only 3 showers, I never had to wait for one. There was also a washing machine and dryer on the floor (which you need to pay to use, but that’s common). The location was only a 5 minute walk from Shibuya station and there were plenty of places to eat nearby, as well as a happy hour offering free beer at the accommodation daily (I didn’t participate but if you’re social or staying with friends, free beer is never a bad thing right?) Overall it was pricier than other capsule hotel options, but I’m happy with my choice to stay here and had a good experience at Millennials.
