Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

This property is the oldest hotel in Hertford and offers bedrooms with period features and free Wi-Fi. With a traditional pub restaurant, the hotel is 150 metres from Hertford Museum. I was charmed by this hotel, it has bags of character and centrally located. The welcome was very warm and welcoming. Staying at Christmas, there were a few changes to the schedule, which were fully explained before and during my stay. Breakfasts excellent and exceptional service each day (Judy?).

Hotel Cromwell Stevenage was once a farm house and home to John Thurloe, secretary to Oliver Cromwell. The property is close to the A1(M) and just 10 minutes’ drive from Knebworth Park. The entrance to the hotel almost put me off, but as I got into my room, I was blown away by the ambience of the stylishly decorated room. Great value for money

We have been traveling for 5 weeks in the UK. This is THE best place we’ve stayed! Bed was SO comfy. Impeccably clean. Room was warm and man at desk came promptly down to switch it. Breakfast-big wow! Bacon, sausage, etc. Hated to leave.
