The location, in sight of the train station, only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the town-centre and very close to a large Morrisons was excellent.
The breakfast was varied, although did not include the option of porridge.
The en suite bathroom was nice, especially the easily controlled hot shower with more than adequate water-pressure.

Fantastic stay I stayed as a single parent and took my dog with me, the lady called debs that works there was brilliant and helped with all the questions I had. Debs didn't know about the bus services that run local so she went out of her way to find out for me.

Skipton is a wonderful place to visit with many great shops, bars and places to eat. There are many great attractions, including canal boat trips from the town centre. There is a thriving market on four days of the week. The locals are extremely friendly and offer wonderful service. The prices of drinks and food were very reasonable indeed.

The weather was dry so good start.
The weather was dry so good start. Plenty of shops to look in, plenty cafes and excellent pubs. Skipton towpath next to canal is a lovely walk as well as Skipton woods by the river. Very dog friendly place. We ate at the Railway pub, excellent food.
Also they are canal boat tours, and you can hire the boats for a day or longer. Skipton Castle is a great place if you like history really recommend going Skipton has a lot to offer.
It was warm and comfortable and had a very welcoming bar/restaurant. But, by far, the biggest positive is the staff at Herriot’s Hotel, they were all charming and couldn’t do enough for us. Their attention to detail was excellent.
I lost a pair of earrings in the room and they phoned me to say they had found one whilst I was still in Skipton so I collected it. when I arrived home I realised the other earring was missing too. Herriot’s Hotel staff rang me to say it had been found and they would post it on to me.
We got an unexpected upgrade to a superior room on arrival, the room was really lovely. Right at the front of the hotel overlooking the centre of Skipton. Not loud with the window closed.
Spotlessly clean. Lovely big bath and warm room (fan if you need it) Toiletries and brew kit all good.Fresh milk always available from the bar.
x2 complementary drinks too :-)
The food and beer are excellent and the staff are lovely. A credit to Timothy Taylors.
Well for starters, when we arrived we saw Andrew (the owner) he showed us how to collect the property keys. It was great to meet him and he showed us around, etc. We loved the location since it was so close to the town. The property was very comfortable. We were intrigued with how old the building was, it's a very charming place. We all loved it and it was spacious, too, for all seven of us.
The room was beautiful. It was so cozy and beautifully decorated. Perfectly cleaned and tidied daily.
Debbie was a lovely host.
The hotel was in prime position just a w minute walk from town where there's plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops.
We'll definitely be staying again during our next trip to Skipton
Lovely entrance hall very quirky which we love fresh flowers from the garden very welcoming.
Room was decorated to a high standard
Comfy bed with quality linen.
Hotel next door serving amazing food
Very good location quiet yet short walk to centre of Skipton
The location of the hotel was fine for us, right by the canal towpath which gave us easy walking into Skipton.
Having use of the pool and gym
Good bus service stops right outside the hotel if you want to leave the car and enjoy a drink in Skipton.
Excellent location for the centre of Skipton, everything was walkable from the hotel. Parking was free and car was not required as everything was walkable for town centre. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained.
Location, know Skipton very well and chose this hotel for the location and had previously visited this site for a hen do around 12 years ago which was a lovely then, so thought it would be good to stay.
Really lovely staff. Great room and food Someone has a good eye for design and finish - on all counts. Many a hotel would be proud of the room we stayed in - Ribble, their dog friendly room by the way.
Located across from the Bus Station in the centre of Skipton.
Pre-order breakfast, served in your room at a time chosen by yourself.
Big room, comfortable beds. Clean. Ensuite bathroom.
The house was beautifully decorated. Great location about a 6 minute walk into the centre of Skipton, plenty of off street parking , if no parking spaces left at the hotel.
