We were travelling as a large family of 7 and wanted a mixture of experiences, we opted to use the hop on and off to get a feel for the city and the made some decisions on what we wanted to see, that was helpful. Top highlights - KL Bird Park, Time Square Mall, Batu Cave, Kanching Rainforest Waterfall. We didn’t bother to figure out the public transport, with having the kids with us it was much easier to just take taxi’s to places and still very affordable. For the majority of our trip we stayed at Traders Hotel, this was brilliant, perfect for the family, great facilities, and close to KLCC. We had some flights changes which meant we had to extend our stay for an extra couple of days, to make it a little more affordable we moved accommodation towards the end of our trip to be closer to China town and the markets and experience that part of KL, in the end we regretted that decision, that side of the city is not great for kids, it’s pretty rough and feels more like a backpackers / young adult scene. We still enjoyed exploring the markets but it wasn’t great for the kids. We discovered that Time Square Mall had very similar stalls in its upper levels and a whole lot more things for the kids to do in the Theme Park so that was a better experience. Over all some great adventures were had and we loved most of our time in Kuala Lumpur.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. People are friendly and always willing to help and give directions. I didn't speak Bahasa malaysia for almost 40 years and the people I asked for help managed to direct me back to the hotel on Tuesday night. The night the tree felled. Taxis and grabs were not running and the only back from Sungai Wang was to walk. People on the streets were telling me how and where to go. I do thank the 2 BMW mechanics who directed me back to the hotel.
Food was cheap and the exchange rate was excellent.
I found that night hours were safer than many towns in north America.

I was a solo traveler, and I felt no fear at all.
I was a solo traveler, and I felt no fear at all. It’s my first international tour, and it’s incredibly memorable to have done it first in KL. 🇲🇾
To Muslims, it’s a safe haven, for they won't worry about their food, since the country is generally serving Halal ones. Alhamdulillah 🫶🏼
The hotel location of the hotel is great. Twin tower view room offers really nice view on the Petronas twin towers and Suria KLCC including the water show. It is also near to the connecting walkway to Bukit Bintang.
The rooms are clean and spacious.
The staffs are courteous and friendly. However not to the point where they remember your name during your stay unlike other 5 stars franchise hotels. For example for the 3rd visit to the lounge the same staff still needed to ask for my room number and verified in the system.
- Convenient location, 5min walk to the back of Fahrenheit (go out of the hotel, turn right and right again). There's an underpass to Pavilion from Fahrenheit.
- Helpful concierge team who assisted us with our massage appointment and advised us on the best route to airport.
- Great facilities, saw many Singaporeans were wondering around the hotel to check out the facilities.
- Away from the busy road of Bukit Bintang, hence there is a shortcut to the expressway to KLIA.
The Majestic is such a beautiful colonial hotel in an excellent and central location (close to Bangsar, Bukit Bintang, KL city centre). The hotel was originally built in 1932 and the hotel’s restaurants and facilities are decorated according to this style. The dining areas are beautiful as well especially the colonial cafe and orchid conservatory. The staff were all very professional, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended! The gym and pool were lovely too.
- Prime location
- Clean accommodation
- Many good places for family dinner by walking distance! Just like the Nasi Kahwin Hari Hari
- Easy to source for halal eateries and foods
- 24 hours shop just opposite the hotel
- Walking distance to McDonalds where it's easy-to-get last minute supper
- Few minutes' drive to Pavilion, Sungei Wang, the busking street, Bukit Bintang
- All staffs were amazingly friendly and accommodative
hotel is good
friendly staff
just walking distance to Pavilion, Starhill, Farenheit, Lot10, Sungai Wang Plaza, Berjaya Times Square, Bukit Bintang
Arabian food paradise here..All kind of arabian food is just near hotel. Food good with affordable price
near with monorail, MRT Bukit Bintang
i'll be here again in future
There is parking hotel, maybe in future i'll just park near hotel. alot parking there but u need to come early
The staff very kind, the place very comfortable. We made the last minutes booking due to the horrible service by agoda, we unable to check-in our booked hotel that day, so end up we make the booking through booking.com and found this super nice hotel. The staff contact us immediately once we made the booking and told us the check-in checkout procedure. Very good experience and definitely deserves 10 out of 10
My stay at the Swiss Garden Residence in Bukit Bintang was terrific! The lavish setting and welcome gave me a sense of home. The spectacular views and well-appointed, roomy accommodations made for an unforgettable stay.
Because of the hotel's excellent location, it was easy to visit neighboring attractions, including Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Berjaya Times Square.
The staff was warm and attentive. The hotel was not as near as other hotels in Bukit Bintang but it was its strength too. It was near enough for us to walk to Pavillion and Bethaya Times Square but it was far away from the crowd that it was very good quiet and peaceful. The hotel and its facilities were new since it was just renovated.
The location is superb. Easy to access, and surrounding is 24 hour area, where you can easily get food and emergency kit even in the middle of the night. Next to the hotel, have oriental Malaysia Cafe. Any kind of food from breakfast to dinner. The facilities is like regular 3 star hotel, complete and clean.
Process for booking upto invoice went well. Staff were less around.Location wise , good but gets jammed roads towards the evening. Getting cabs is a big challenge if you want to go to center of Bukit Bintang from the Hotel. If you like walking, better. Monorail is available around 7 mins walk from the hotel.
The hotel is centrally located in KL. It’s in the business district so you’ll see a lot of corporate towers and high rise residential units. Bukit Bintang and Changkat are walking distance if you want to walk. The price is really a good deal. The room has enough space and felt comfortable during our stay.
this 5 stars hotel is in the heart of bukit bintang, near to all public transport n pavilion shopping centre.. the staff were very welcoming with amazing hospitality…. the rooms smells extremely nice and clean… suprisingly, there are also coffee machine provided in the room..
Excellent room and services, as can be expected with any Marriot Bonvoy hotel. Location is excellet, right next to KL Sentral station which is the hub for metro for all over the city and to the airport. Even has a decent mall next to the hotel. The food was also excellent.
Bed was comfortable. Local staff was very nice and professional. 15 min walk to bukit bintang area. However its a old budget hotel with small rooms. Very average condition overall (only main recieption area is renovated a bit nicely as shown in pics at booking.com)
Traders is a wonderful hotel. very accommodating, we requested a smoking room late in the booking and were accommodated on a smoking floor. the room was cleaned each day while we were out, even on days when we were only out momentarily.
Good budget place in the middle of bustling Kl sentral:) india town and good food just a walk from the hotel. We could store our luggage for a few days which was awesome
